Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our breeding program, puppy adoption process, and caring for Bernese Mountain Dogs.

What is the process for adopting a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy?
To adopt, start by filling out our online Puppy Application. Once approved, you can place a reservation deposit to secure your position on our waiting list. When a litter is born, selections are made in order of deposits received, and puppies go home at 8 weeks of age.
Are your Bernese Mountain Dogs health tested?
Yes! Our breeding Sires and Dams are health tested for genetic conditions common in Bernese Mountain Dogs, including Degenerative Myelopathy (DM - SOD1A & SOD1B), Von Willebrand Disease (vWD1), and OFA clearances for hips, elbows, heart, and eyes.
How do you handle puppy transport and shipping?
We prefer local pickup, but we can arrange safe transport. We work with professional flight nannies who carry the puppy in-cabin with them and meet you at your nearest airport. We do not ship our puppies in cargo.
What is included with my Cooper's Bernese puppy?
Your puppy comes with a 2-year genetic health guarantee, vet clearance, up-to-date vaccinations/dewormings, AKC registration paperwork, a puppy starter kit (blanket with mother's scent, food sample, toy), and lifetime breeder support.
